I’ve started moving again, and it feels really good. I feel like I’ve been ready to move for a while, but wasn’t sure where to go. What to do. What did she mean when she said go do something constructive? Even when I asked her, the answer was vague. And now I just want to make things, even if they make no sense. The mere act of putting down a mark is an attempt at communication and is valid, it’s just that some marks are more artistic than others, they can carry more weight, and the really good stuff, that’s load-bearing stuff right there, can carry whole cultures
