April 24th: Are there things that seemed to come naturally to others that you had to try to learn over time?
There were so many things when I was growing up that I didn’t get at all. I remember being really confused as sort of a natural state, and would just hope that someone would eventually explain what was going on. Whenever I asked what was going on, I always felt like I had revealed myself for being an idiot because I didn’t know.
I remember thinking that I couldn’t wait until it was my turn to learn all these things that everyone else just seemed to know. Surely they only knew because someone had told them, and I didn’t know because no one had told me. Then as I got older, I realized that time was never going to come.
