Now

I read somewhere a little while ago about “Now” pages, which are special blog pages where you note what you’re currently into. I’m too lazy to look up the reference, so you’ll have to Google it yourself.

So I made one for this blog, and stuck it in the menu above, under the logo. And there it sits, ignored by all, including me. It was less of a Now page and more of a Then page, a snapshot of whatever was Now when I wrote it.

So I decided to try again, but this time instead of a static Page, I’m going to make it a post, and I’m going to sticky this dude to the top of the blog. That way it’ll always be the first thing we see when we come to the blog. I’m still trying to figure out a good way to archive it: I think I might just unsticky the post, call it “Then” and make a new Now.

LEGO Star Wars Castaways, Apple Arcade. I’m currently “between games”, but this is a good fun one to grind. The core loop is pretty satisfying, there are lots of things to do and collect, lots of goals. And it’s LEGO and Star Wars, which is the chocolate and peanut butter of gaming.

Minecraft, various platforms. Old reliable. My youngest wants to go slay the Ender Dragon.

The B-52’s, Wild Planet. I’m not sure what prompted it, but I started listening to this record a couple of weeks ago, and it has really stuck. “Give Me Back My Man” is my current favorite.
