I have been all over the map lately, trying and playing different things.
- Vampire Survivors (Xbox/iOS) - I’m usually a step or two behind current trends, and this reverse bullet-hell survivor genre was no exception, but man, do I love this little indie game. I get the hype. For a while I was playing it to try and get all the unlocks and achievements, but now I just play it on essentially a random setting, dropping into a random level with a random character and just seeing how far I get. I should write more about it soon, because there’s a lot to unpack here.
- MLB The Show 22 (Xbox) - A sure sign of spring is that I get interested in baseball again. For years, my relationship with this game has gone along in this cycle: Yay! Baseball! This year will be different; Man, this game is amazing and deep; this game is complicated; this game is hard; never again. Anyway, I’m dorking around in last year’s game to warm up for when this year’s drops at the end of March.
- Civilization VI (Xbox) - Instead of always playing as Rome, I’m playing as a random civilization, which is forcing me to stretch my wings a little bit.

Disenchantment (Netflix) - Yeah, word on the street is that the next part will drop in June. This is comfort show.

The Odyssey, Emily Wilson & Homer - It’s a wonderful translation that’s been on my list for too long.
