My New Go-to Game
I tried using a different set of gear in The Division, and it was a lot of fun. I equipped four pieces of the Defense set, and two AlphaBridge. The idea was that the AlphaBridge would help me recover health, but I’m not sure that they are needed. I might poke around, and swap out a different set, like maybe Lone Star, and double my ammo, because that’s the point where I felt weaker.
I wandered around West Side Piers, actually went as far north as you can go, and then went west towards the named piers. I’m only missing four phones, so that should be easy to knock out.
I’m very happy with The Division as my go-to game right now. It’s funny, with all the new stuff to play, I’m grinding my way through a two year-old game, but this is what I like to do. This is how I like to play. I’m comfortable with the controls, comfortable with the map, and slowly getting more comfortable with the different modes. Two weeks ago, I hadn’t set foot in the Underground and was avoiding the Dark Zone like the plague. This week, I did both. The Underground is going to take more time, but I’m getting the hang of the Dark Zone, enough to do the Dark Zone daily.
I learned that doing the weekly can net you an exotic from the cache. I also had an exotic drop from a low-level HVT, so really, it’s pretty random. I’d like to get a NinjaBike bag, which will make building sets more flexible. From what I’ve been reading, people also use high-end pieces in the other slots, presumably to get some ability modifier that you don’t get from having two geared pieces. I’ll have to look into that as well.
