Excavation of the site is planned to take 18 months all told. When it is concluded, the city’s new main fire station will be built where Mithras and, more recently, the police once presided. The relief is currently undergoing conservation at the Rheinisches Landesmuseum in Trier.

What I found interesting about this was that according to the article the Cult of Mithras was big in the military, which means this is the probable site of a Roman Legion base, which was later a police station and is now becoming a fire station. Authority has rested in this spot for centuries.
