It Might Actually Be Six Times

I played Destiny for about an hour or so this morning. I was able to do the challenges on Earth, Titan, and Nessus. Earth’s challenges were a Lost Sector in the Sludge; loot three Cabal chests; and get ten sniper kills in Trostland. The only hard part was I waited to switch my power weapon to the sniper until the last minute, so I spent a lot of time running around Trostland, trying to find power ammo. On Titan, there was do the Lost Sector in Siren’s Watch; gather 10 alkane; and kill 75 Fallen. And then on Nessus, we had to do a Lost Sector in the Tangle; loot three Vex chests; and kill 3 Hydras. Also, the Faction Rally challenge was to complete public events. I helped with a Glimmer extraction at the Sludge and two Fallen arsenal drops at Siren’s Watch to complete that.

I’ve completed a couple of the Faction Rally ornaments, and I can say that I’m not very excited about them. They’re essentially new skins on the old gear, but none of them are that exciting. The Vanguard ornaments that Zavala is handing out are more interesting. Plus Lakshimi is giving me the same fusion rifle over and over, like five of them.

It would be fun to play more Nier tonight, if I get a chance. It’s really not my cup of tea, but I’m starting to get a feel for the button mashing. A cool combo will happen, and I’ll be like that was amazing how did I do that? But I ground far enough to get my level closer to where the story wanted me to be, and now things are progressing further. I felt like it was stagnating there a little bit. But I still feel like I’m playing through an Anime. Things don’t quite make sense, but they look cool. A lot of the characters feel like plot devices, or like stock characters that I’m supposed to know, but the game is gorgeous, and the music is incredible.
