Bugs in Space

I'm not even sure why I'm playing Destiny anymore.

I came back for the Warmind DLC that dropped at the start of May, and it was good. I had fun. But I was having trouble leveling. Then I found out there was a bug that was keeping Clan XP engrams from decoding properly. Clan XP engrams are one of the few ways I can raise the power level of my characters. Regular legendary engrams drop within a certain soft cap. You need to earn Powerful Engrams to raise your power level, and Bungie has decided to lock earning these engrams to just a couple of different end game activities. My clan doesn't raid (heck, my clan doesn't play anymore -- they've all moved on to another game), and I really don't like Crucible, Destiny's PVP mode, so I'm stuck with two ways, currently, to earn Powerful Engrams: Clan XP and Flashpoint. And Clan XP was bugged, so that the Powerful Engrams were decoding as regular engrams.

So with this last patch, they finally fixed that. Great! Now I can start leveling, right? Nope. Turns out there's a new bug, this time with Flashpoint. If you happen to level and earn a bright engram when you turn in the Flashpoint, your Flashpoint engram will decode as a regular engram. And of course, I find this out after I turn in my Flashpoint.

So, at this point, I think I'm done with Destiny, at least until they start the "Triumph" part of the season, where  you earn special stuff for having completing things through the course of this first year. Next week, there's supposed to be some sort of reveal for what will be launched this fall, and I'll watch that, and see. But for right now, I've got plenty of games that will let me grind and level without frustrating me.
