Kind of fascinating to think that these characters whom I’ve known all my life, whom I think of as childhood friends, can be coded to be happy, healthy, unmasked adult autistics in a loving relationship. Like, it’s amazing that someone could create characters in a children’s show so powerful and so enduring that they transcend childhood, becoming icons that can guide us through our entire lives.
